Day 2 of Master Cleanse and feeling fine!

I started the master cleanse, or what I like to call the lemonade cleanse, yesterday to do a little detoxing from eating the best foods in New York while my parents were in town, and toxin it up at Shira and Jeff's weddin this weekend and I feel better already :) Special shout out to my shifty pals for putting up with their host having to spend an hour at home shooting water out of her bum from the salt water flush before heading out for the day! (was that too much info?, nah my fans know me...) Yesterday I had a headache for half the day, which is pretty normal for me and this detox bit. This is my third time on the cleanse and I am so joyful to be doing it again!!!

Shira and Jeff got hitched this memorial day weekend on a farm in Pennsyltucky! It was a blast and a half.

My parents touched down in New York today, and let me tell you they are the funniest things to hit this City ever! Totally hysterical and magically and amazing, they love all the things about New York that one should- the architecture, the hassle, the history, and even the rain! I am hoping that the rain goes away tomorrow so they can enjoy dry NY too.... sending prayers for that. A

Sequence

After about 6 months of really trying to bring some sequence into my life, the wait has ended. In the past week and a half I have managed to procure, 2, yes count them 2 pieces of clothing full of sequence. Enjoy!

breastfeeding is a full time job

That is one of the many lessons I have learned in the past week. Moms who breastfeed do so every 2-3 hours. It is a really great choice for babes because they tend to not get sick and fend off allergies if they are breastfed during the first year of life. Also it is great for bonding.

But you have to pump if you aren't there to feed. Nothing like pumping a few times a day at the office to get you that promotion ha! "Excuse me, my esteemed colleagues, I have to leave this meeting to go pump or my breasts might start shooting milk at you." Oh the joys of motherhood! F our sexist culture. There should be pumping lounges at the office, where female workers can just go plug in together.

This is one of the cutest babes in the West and I had the pleasure of playing, snuggling, and being roommates with this awesome 7 month old for 5 days last week. I also got to catch up with her mama, who is one of my best pals from Junior high school. Nothing like visiting your friend from 15 years ago and her child to make you feel like you are truly an adult! We had lots of fun, shopping, painting pottery, running, eating a really good cheddar cheese, catching up, seeing movies for a dollar and indulging in good eats and treats. It was also nice to see mountains. I will always remember my first moments with my sweet potato.
